Dr. David Lorden is the Superintendent of the Lakeside Union School District. Dr. Lorden served as Area Superintendent for the San Diego Unified School District. Dr. Lorden has been an educator for 27 years, serving in both the elementary and secondary levels. At the site level, he has been a high school principal for nine years, a high school vice principal for five years and a middle and high school teacher for seven years. He served as a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) chair for 10 years and an adjunct professor for aspiring administrators. Dr. Lorden was the recipient of the 2011 California League of Middle Schools Leadership Award; the 2008 ACSA Region VI Pupil Personnel Administrator of the Year; the San Leandro Unified School District 2007-08 Administrator of the Year Award; and the 2007 Making a Difference Award. He completed his Doctor of Educational Leadership degree from San Diego State University in 2010. His dissertation focused on providing professional development to principals to recognize and develop high efficacy in teachers in order to impact student achievement.
